The Aquaroom was my senior project which concludes my undergraduate on Interactive multimedia design at Carleton University. In this project, I developed an application by on Cinder Framework and OpenCV, which captures a photo of a user, analyzes the image and wirelessly transfers meaningful data to the host software. The data is then used by the application to create correspond fish for this user, according to their appearance. The Aquaroom is a relaxing interactive experience meant to engage casual users of all ages. The basic concept being that we wanted people to experience a fish tank from two perspectives: first, from the usual view of a person looking into a small fish tank, whether at a pet store or their own home and second as a fish themselves inside a giant fish tank.”
